This Day In Music - June 17, 2005

What was No.1 on the day you were born?

Physical - Olivia Newton-John

Speechless. My brother has a much better one:

Islands In The Stream - Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton

mine is something I've never heard of.

Have you heard about the book, "Popstrology?" Guy says the culture of the song on the day you were born is the new astrology. NPR did a story.

At least "Physical" is kitschy and catchy, Eric.

For my birthday, in the UK, it was "Those Were The Days" by Mary Hopkins. Ever heard it? It sounds like Satan's own bridal waltz.

Meanwhile, in the US, it was "Hey Jude". Apparently idiotic music was 'in' that year.

Naaaah naaah naaaah na na na na. Na na na na, Hey Jude.

It's way better than "Let's get physical, physical." Less stupidity to be had.
