About the sweater... What can I say? If you're going to be regal you have to dress that way. My favorite part of the picture is the cord dangling from the lantern unplugged.

A guy who used to live in Hamburg called in to Garage Logic where they were discussing these exploding toads. He explained that the area where this is happening is to Hamburg, as what Uptown is to Minneapolis, and that the frogs are drug addicts. Here's another article on that.

Okay, that first picture CANNOT be real. Frogs don't have enough mass to create an explosion like that, even if they were made out of semtex. (Besides, it's from Bild, a tabloid.)
But the rest of the story is great.
